NO ONE by alicia keys

http://www.mtv.com/player/html/popup/?id=1568786&vid=173539

I just want you close
Where you can stay forever
You can be sure
That it will only get better

You and me together
Through the days and nights
I don't worry 'cause
Everything's gonna be alright

People keep talking
They can say what they like
But all I know is
Everything's gonna be alright

No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I'm feeling
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you You,
you
Can get in the way of what I feel for you

When the rain is pouring down
And my heart is hurting
You will always be around Yes,
I know, for certain
You and me together
Through the days and nights
I don't worry 'cause Everything's gonna be alright
People keep talking
They can say what they like
But all I know is Everything's gonna be alright

No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I'm feeling
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you You, you
Can get in the way of what I feel I know,

some people search the world
to find something like what we have I know,
people will try, try to divide something so real so 'till the end of time
I'm telling you that

No one, no one
Can get in the way of what I'm feeling
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I feel or you

Oh oh oh oh ooh, oh oh oh oh ooh, oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh oooh Oh oh oh oh ooh, oh oh oh oh ooh, oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh oooh

2007 VMA's

how i wish i was in vegas yesterday. the 2007 vma's was held @ the palms in vegas. for some odd reason im in party mode.lolz! unfortunately i had to watch this while i was laying down on my couch. for all those who missed this..u HAVE to watch this. hey at least it gave me some idea on what songs to download now. lets talk about the performances. well i only wanna comment really on 4 performances. dont get me wrong..all of 'em were great except for one..which brings me to ms britney spears.

i used to like britney spears, but what the hell happened to her during and after k-fed?..i was addicted watching her perform back in the days. in terms of performance, i gotta give it to britney. but voice wise..aguilera definitely has it in the bag. this was suppose to be her comeback performance (vma's) , but on stage , she didn't look like she wanted to perform at all. it really looked like she was still in dress rehearsals or something. maybe because she was uncertain how people were going to react in spite of every jaw-droppin headlines she's been making. her new song "gimme more" is pretty hot. its scheduled release will be on November. all i gotta say is that she could've at least amped up her performance.

next is chris brown. i just gotta say, i cant believe they make 'em this young nowadays. lolz! he is the next Michael Jackson in the making. his performance was off the hook! hey he even got a standing ovation. now that was a performance.!everybody was just in awe with this kid!

now i gotta give it to Alicia keys. she performed a reggae-like song 'no one/freedom'. she is one sexxy mama! i just love how people are so confident about themselves . it really does bring out the sexiness in a person. first of all, this lady sang live, played the piano and just rocked the house . she is one talented, beautiful performer alright!

the fourth one is 'bleed it out' with linkin park feat the maestro, timbaland. its like hip hop and hard rock. it kinda reminds me one of their songs feat jay-z NUMB- encore.

of course there were other performances held live at the suites of the palms hotel.it was a party in the making. if i was there i would've probably went to the southern hospitality party at JT's suite..which i might add is the name of his restaurant that i still ,have yet , to try out here in the city.

i also think kanye west's new album 'graduation' is the bomb..i guess its pretty obvious that I'm into the album coz both my songs in my music room and friendster are both from his album..STRONGER and GOOD LIFE.

if you missed the show click on http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?id=1568786&vid=173440. enjoy!

2 best budz

i finally saw my homegirl Amy yesterday. the last time i saw this lad was back in 2004. i practically grew up with her and her sisters. we treat each other like family and consider each other as 'cuzins'. we used to do everything together, as in everything. but ever since her family moved to a different neighborhood , had a boyfriend, got married, relocated to CA and back, it hasn't been the same. but u know the foundation is there. regardless of time and space, as soon as you see each other, its like you're back to where u guys left off. she picked my up from my house and headed to one of my fav restaurants around my neighborhood, skinflints. one thing's for sure..we had to catch up on a lot of stuff! it was a perfect Friday nite for me. having dinner and drinks and chika to death with a close friend. we then went back to the house and showed her some pics in my computer.

AMZ, i just wanna say that u have grown to be a confident sexxy mama! i guess Elmo did something right coz i now see confidence and security within you. and that ,my friend, is what makes you sexxy! i admire that u have grown to be a mature woman. how time flies ha! but one thing never changed.. and that is just being a Brooklyn girl @ heart!

today another good friend of mine, Nicole , picked me up from my house and went to the city. we have been planning to walk around the city way before summer began. well that didn't happen alright!lolz! school's already starting and its just now that we started our journey to the city.lolz!
i had to bring her to METROBANK first in the city coz i had to send my dad's money back home. so that was a first for Nicole..goin to a Philippine bank in the city.lolz! we then ate lunch at this European cafe, chilled by the fountain, then hopped back on the subway to go southstreet seaport to see the bodies exhibit. i had told her about this exhibit and she was very interested , knowing that she's a discovery channel freak! after the exhibit we went to pier 17 and chilled. we got some frozen margaritas and out of nowhere decided to take a boat ride..i cant believe in a span of 3 months, Ive been to 3 boat rides. first- in the BEAST with Michelle and mark, second- in Miami with Kai, and third- the SHARK with Nicole. we had a BLAST in the SHARK ride. it was way better than the BEAST. it was like a roller coaster ride but in water. cole and i were hangin on for our dear lives.lolz! the $20 was so worth it. check out the videos in my multiply site. (just click the link on the right hand side of this page). after that we were too exhausted and just went home. we felt like we spent most of our time waiting in the station and being in the train. then i invited cole to rest for a couple of mins in the house then bounced.

COLE, i had so much fun..from the guy bustin his moves in the train, to you hitting your head on the boat rail, i just have to say that we have to do this again. just wanna thank you for everything you've done for me. i have learned so much from you. thanks for being an inspiration!

tomorrow i might go back to the city and figure out what ima wear next saturday for sarah geronimo's concert. also, cant wait to meet my cuz that i havent really met before.lolz! i guess that tells you how close our family is.lolz!

lookin forwardz..deux

now that I'm back in NY..what's the next thing I'm looking forward to?hmmm..Sarah Geronimo's concert on sept 15 at Hammerstein ballroom in the city. i actually asked one of my nephew sa insan?..to come with me. his mom is actually my first cousin on my father's side. now how did that come to be? well my dad is the youngest out of 7 kids and he married pretty late. so all ma cousins on his side are way older than me and they have kids who are around about the same age as i am, who i really feel comfortable calling them ma cuzins. but really, mga pamangkin ko na sila sa insan. i never met him before although he's in my friendster list. what's up with me with meeting up with relatives and old school friends who i don't seem to remember?..lolz! tickets cost 98, 78, 58 bucks and if you wanna go to the after party there's an additional 20 bucks . but the one for 98 bucks is all inclusive already.

I'm also looking forward to one of the long over-due trips that Nicole and i were suppose to do.its not really a trip coz its just going around the city and taking pics. so maybe we'll do it this weekend. the more we plan the more it doesn't push through.

i cant believe summer's over already! and what a way to end it with a trip to Miami. a perfect way to end the summer.

miami day 3, 4 & 5

3rd day was when we hit the beach!right after breakfast we went to the beach .we were there around 830. i wanted to be there early coz when it gets packed u lose a chair and umbrella. but i guess it was private so even if you came there around 10 u'll still get a chair. we just took mad pictures and basically worked on our tan.we also went in the water. unlike the beaches in NY, the water in Miami is warm and feels like u could just stay in there forever. even in the beach the hotel staff was very attentive to ur needs. and one thing about the weather in Miami, besides that its steaming hot, it would be cloudy then sun would come out..or it would shower for like 20 mins then the sun would again come out. after lunch we walked around the beach again then went back to the room. we then decided to walk around south beach. so from the hotel which was on 30th st, we walked all the way to 7th..lakad trip talaga.lolz! by the time we got back to the hotel, which we had to take a cab, we were just exhausted.again a few drinks and we slept like a baby!

4th day was beach time again. so we were there till 2pm after which we decided to grab lunch at lario's(which gloria estefan owns and is known for the best mojito's in town). she owns 3 restaurants. 2 bongo restaurants and lario's which is the nearest one in our hotel. we walked around southbeach. we went to versace's mansion again. we saw it during our bus tour but we didnt have a picture of us ova there. on the way there we met this crazy dude dressed in fishnet stockings and leather suit with a catwoman mask on his face.i guess he's kinda like the naked cowboy of NYC.lolz!

5th day was when we went home...

it was a very relaxing vacation for me , besides all the flight mishaps that i experienced but it was all worth it. maybe alot of u are wondering why i didn't go out like out -out during my vacation..well i was in beach mode and i wanted to get away from stress and loud surroundings. I'm planning a vegas trip as well so i guess I'll get my groove on when I'm there.lolz! I'm glad i went to Miami! sa uulitin!

miami day 2

the 'boxer party' ended at 4am and we woke up 730 for breakfast. i always get up late so i was really surprised that i was up that early on my vacation. the only bad thing about eating in the hotel is that the food is ridiculously over priced.and that goes for every hotel. after we ate our breakfast we went to the concierge and asked about the city and boat tour that i saw online. there was 2 trips, leaving at 930am and 1230pm. we opted for the latter one. so we walked around the boardwalk then took a shower and got ready for the tour.the bus picked us up in front of the hotel, the good thing was we were the first one in the bus together with the other people from the hotel that wanted to do the tour.he drove us around southbeach, art deco district, the marina, coconut grove, coral gables, little Havana and Miami. that trip took about 2hours and 30 mins. after the bus tour, the driver/tour guide dropped us off to bayside for our boat tour. the place looked so familiar and it was only after the boat tour and we were walking around Bayside that i realized that I've been here before. but that was like 5 years ago. anyways, the boat tour was extraordinary. it was also a 2 hour 30 min tour. we went up close and personal to the marina where they film the TV series and movie, Miami vice and i forgot the other movie with Mel Gibson?its at the tip of my tongue..aaaarrrggghhh!!cant remember. then we went to fisher island and where the stars lived...star island. the houses, oh I'm sorry , the mansions were unbelievable. i thought i would only see those mansions @ cribs (MTV show) ..it was a surreal experience. famous celebrities live in star island or has a mansion ova there. stars like rosie o donnell, elizabeth taylor, scarface, julio iglesias, tony mottolla, the guy that owns payless shoe store( who we saw fishing), shaquil o neal, tony parker, famous football players that i really don't know who they are coz i don't watch football, gloria estefan..and many more.it was a great tour!

we ate at bayside right after the tour, walked around and took pictures. i had to buy my bikini ova there since i couldn't find anymore swimwear in NYC coz everything in the store is now for the fall season. going back to the hotel was annoying coz of the traffic. i literally felt like i was in manila. its worse than the traffic here in NY.it was really a manila traffic alright.

when we got to the hotel we rested for like an hour and hit the pool. night swimming is the best.after 3 hours..lolz. we went back to the room and chilled with my hommie alan again..we didn't really finished what we were drinking the night before so ...he was there to finish whatever's left.lolz!we told him about the tour which he got really jealous and wanted to do the same tour we did. after a few hours he left and we went to sleep.

miami day one

I'm off today which gives me the time to write about my Miami trip. so let me start off when i got out of MIA. bedazzled by my luggage being lost i couldn't really concentrate that i was already in Miami. although i really felt all grown up at that time..u know hailing a cab, going to the hotel, checking in ..it just established my independence. when Kai and i got to the hotel i informed the concierge that someone will be dropping off my luggage pass 11pm. the hotel lobby was elegant and chic at the same time. when we got to our room i thought i would be disappointed, being that i read most of the reviews online. we got the city view room coz that was the cheapest room..but it didn't look cheap at all (it better not coz it cost us 750 bucks for the 5day 4 night stay). well i really didn't do anything when we got to the room ..i mean i would've unpacked my stuff but ooohh..wait...yeah..i didn't have my luggage! we stayed in the room for like an hour so that Kai can get her stuff together.we then went to the hotel restaurant and ate dinner..and by that time i was so hungry i could eat a horse.the staff was excellent, they attended to our every needs..very friendly.after dinner we walked around the hotel then out to the beach. the cool thing about this hotel is that they have everything..like u have ur own little island world . aside from the pool, pool bar, gazebo, hotel bar, restaurant, spa, complimentary yoga classes in the morning, fitness center...the best part was the private access to the beach. right pass the pool area you could walk to the beach. there's also a very chic looking boardwalk so u could jog/ walk sunrise/sunset. check out http://thepalmshotel.com . we then went to the beach. there's something about being on the beach at night.its just so relaxing so we took a couple of pics although u couldn't really see anything but whatever.lolz.. we sat down and we got to know more about each other. as we were talking there was a guy in a blue shirt that was walking in front of us and of course made a segway and started a conversation. he mentioned that he was there with friends but couldn't really understand them coz they don't really speak a word of English. so blah blah blah..Kai then asked him to bring his friends over so we could meet them.at this point i wasn't really in the mood to meet more people maybe because i was still thinking where the hell my luggage was. so he came back with his friend.. that omg..let me just tell u guys when i saw him i was like ' the hell with ma luggage' LOLZ! who cares if he didn't really know how to speak in English..he is H-O-T HOT! at first all of us we're talking to each other and at the end Kai ended up talking to Ralph and i ended up talking to pietru! he's from Maldives. i love his accent. he talked like ylmaz bektas ba yun (ruffa's hubby?)..but there's one thing that men all over the world have in common..they could still deliver a good pick up line.LOLZ! i was surprised. this guy didnt know what 'rain ' meant but when he asked me where im from originally and i told him that i was from the Philippines..all of a sudden he was just like every other guy that i know..'are all the girls over there as beautiful as you' NAKS naman! i wouldve gotten at least his email add at that time but he was only 23. why do they make them so young now?!lolz! anyway, kai was a lil bit annoyed already with ralph and was sending me signals like to get out of there so i had to cut my chit chat with pietru short. the good thing about that meeting was it did get my mind off my baggage. we went back to our room and at that time i just had to borrow some of kai's clothes coz i couldnt take it anymore. a few mins later my friend alan txtd me and was askin when i was goin to fl. of course i was like im already here dumbell..lolz. so we set up a time to meet up. he got to the hotel around 1230am, which wasnt the time that we set up for.lolz! he drove us around southbeach . he was suppose to be our tour guide , but really u couldnt get anything out of this guy coz he's relatively new to the neighborhood as well. he's only been there for like a month, not even. after which we went back to the hotel and had a couple of drinks. that was really fun..i shouldve had that on video or something.
